Honeytrap

Production

Directed by Rebecca Johnson

Produced by Sarah Sulick

Set and filmed in Brixton

Budget: Under £1 million
This was made through crowd funding and grants from the BFI.

Cast:
Although familiar faces such as Lucien Laviscount (Waterloo Rd) and Jessica Sula (Skins) were used in the cast, the director also chose to use street casting around Brixton to get actors for the film as it makes the film seem more authentic.

Distribution

Anchor Bay were the distributors of the film. They are a subsidary of Starz Media.

The target audience for Honeytrap are Urban young people aged 15-25 and Urban adults 25+.

Marketing

Social media was used to market the film as it was cheap, easy and would directly reach its target audience.

Film festivals such as the BFI premiered a showing of Honeytrap on the 17th of October 2014.
This helped to market the film also.

The director has also been on the news (BBC) to promote the film.
